Intro: Sugar scrubs are all the rage right now. Besides being a fad for the super rich to spend their money on, they actually have benefits to your skin and over all health. Making them yourself drastically cuts the cost and by putting the ingredients in yourself, you can be assured that there are no chemicals in there. It’s super easy to make, super easy to use, and will last for a couple months. I hope you all enjoy it!
This homemade sugar scrub is best used to soothe and repair dry, dull skin. Blackberries are chock full of bioflavonoids, vitamin C, and antioxidants. But what does that all mean? Basically, they all help to replenish your skin of those nutrients that you lose on the daily by washing your hands, using lotions and moisturizers, and just everyday contact with things. Don’t worry about the notorious staining power of blackberries! I tested this scrub and it washed off with no lingering color on my hands. The lavender is well known to help relax and relieve stress, which makes this even more perfect to use after a long day.
This scrub is good for everyday for yourself. It’s a lot cheaper than store bought scrubs so it’s easy on the wallet too. It can be used in a mini DIY spa gift basket, or you can invite your girlfriends over for a spa night.
